Summer Show: Combining contemporary product with archival objet d'art

Our Summer Show is open for business! It highlights not only the brilliant items that have been exclusively selected from the industry’s best and brightest artists and designers for you to buy, but also brings some of the most iconic pieces from the SHOWstudio archive – readdressing projects past and bringing them into a new and exciting context.

One such objet d’art is GilesFlower Bomb Eek, a quirky take on the classic Mickey Mouse image. This sculpture comprises of hand-cut patent leather flowers and Swarovski beads, which was originally part of our Florist exhibition.

The Florist exhibition celebrated 10 years of SHOWstudio’s continued position at the forefront of fashion innovation. Another piece we have selected for our Summer Show that featured in Florist is Matthew Williams' I Love You Not - a stunning example of the dichotomy in nature between beauty and fragility.

Taking archival pieces and placing them next to recent works by artists such as Rose Robson and Cathrine Raben Davidsen generates another great space for discussions around all things art and fashion. Pop into our 19 Motcomb St store and experience it today!
