Lara Johnson-Wheeler is a Freelance Writer, Editor and Broadcaster.
Formerly Features Editor at SHOWstudio, Johnson-Wheeler specialises in art and fashion criticism. Whilst at SHOWstudio, she pioneered the 2018 Queer project, focusing on visibility and analysis of queer issues in fashion. As well as conducting interviews and writing essays, Johnson-Wheeler curated and chaired a number of SHOWstudio's Live Panel Discussions and reported on both London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men's.
Johnson-Wheeler contributes to London-based platforms including Twin Magazine, LOVE and Vogue, as well as V Magazine. She is Features Editor at Dapper Dan, Contributing Editor at Tatler and is Consultant for non-binary fashion brand ART SCHOOL. She also dabbles in luxury copy-writing - contributing to Browns on a freelance basis - and public speaking, chairing panel discussions and debates.
Her poetry has been published in a number of respected publications including literary periodical Octavius and in 2016, she founded (un)fold magazine, a print publication examining the correlation between mental health and creativity.
Johnson-Wheeler has a Master of Arts in Latin and Comparative Literature, having graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2016.
