Professor Louise Wilson OBE was course director of the MA Fashion course at Central St Martins. A former designer, she was considered one of the most influential people in British fashion and was awarded an OBE in October 2008. Born in Cambridgeshire and raised in Scotland, Wilson attended Saint Martins in the mid 1980s and was taught by Ossie Clarke. After working as a designer and consultant in Hong Kong, she returned to Central Saint Martins as course director of MA Fashion for five years, before moving to New York to work as design director at Donna Karan. Wilson returned to London in 1999 and resumed her role as course director of the MA Fashion course, teaching a number of successful designers including Louise Goldin, Peter Jensen, Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou and Marios Schwab.

Wilson died at the age of 52 in 2014.
