  • Second Photographic Assistant

    SHOWstudio are now hiring for the position of Second Photographic Assistant. The successful candidate will report directly to SHOWstudio Director, Nick Knight and will assist on all Knight’s fashion shoots, as well as SHOWstudio projects. 

    The position entails a minimum of 3 years working alongside Knight, with the potential to progress to Knight’s First Assistant. This position would be well suited to a driven individual who is passionate about both Knight’s work and SHOWstudio. 

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Supporting Knight with his day-to-day tasks and schedule.
    • Preparing and assisting for photographic and film shoots.
    • Liaising with producers and the in-house Production Coordinator. 
    • Preparing lighting equipment. 
    • Live-streaming Knight’s selected shoots as well as SHOWstudio’s fashion week panel discussions.
    • Filming and producing stills for SHOWstudio's various interview series and projects.
    • Backing up data on all projects and shoots, and archiving hard drives. 
    • Photographing stock for SHOWstudio’s e-commerce site.
    • Desired skills and experience:
    • Strong organisational and communication skills.
    • Hands-on working approach.
    • Ability to work individually and in a busy team.
    • Competent in high-pressure environments.
    • Extensive knowledge of photographic equipment, in particular Broncolor flash equipment.
    • Experience filming on a variety of projects.
    • Experience with Photoshop and Capture One programs.
    • Strong initiative and self-motivation.
    • Full clean driving licence (optional).
    • Valid passport (at least six months).
    • Flexibility (some projects will include travelling and working over weekends).

  • Film Editor

    SHOWstudio is looking for a talented full-time film editor to join the team. The successful applicant must have extensive knowledge of Premiere Pro, including offline editing, effects, masking and colour grading. They must have a strong understanding of video compressions and conversions with programs such as Media Encoder. Ideally the applicant would have experience editing interview content, able to quickly and precisely sync audio and follow timecodes. Along with very strong technical ability the applicant should have enthusiasm for fashion and film, as well as a creative, motivated approach. We are looking for someone to work under SHOWstudio's Head of Fashion Film, Raquel Couceiro, on a long term basis as a film editor. If selected the applicant will be working on our interview series such as ‘In Fashion’, ‘Best in Show’, ‘In Conversation’, ‘Head to Head’ and many more.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Handling a number of editing projects, including interview series, process films, live streams, re-streams and social media assets such as Instagram stories and Instagram videos.
    • Preparing films for the site, inserting title cards, processing video compressions and uploading videos in multiple platforms.
    • Preparing video footage for the edit and transferring files to an edit friendly format.
    • Uploading videos to the site and to our social network outlets such as Facebook, Youtube and Vimeo.
    • Assisting on SHOWstudio shoots, handling stream cameras, vision mixing and capturing video footage.
    • You must be a quick problem solver who can turn around edits quickly.
    • You must be able to take direction and work well within a team.  
    • You must have a strong appreciation of Fashion Film and SHOWstudio’s legacy.

    Ideally the candidate will reside in the London area. Salary depends on previous experience.

  • Production Intern

    Assisting the SHOWstudio team, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in film and stills production within the fashion and creative industries.

    The internship will provide excellent hands on experience working within an active studio and online publisher. The production intern will assist on SHOWstudio productions - this includes film series, live broadcasts and other SHOWstudio content - and aid in production logistics and schedules, reporting directly to the Production Co-Ordinator.

    The internship requires excellent organisation, communication and administrative skills. Common sense and the ability to think on one’s feet is essential, as is an interest in production.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks. SHOWstudio cover lunch and travel costs (within London).

  • Editing Intern

    Assisting our Fashion Film team this role will suit a student or graduate from a filmmaking/photography degree who has a strong interest in film editing. This role requires strong editing, camera operation skills and technical ability.

    Interns are responsible for film editing support including editing footage for SHOWstudio projects, syncing video and audio, sourcing video footage and creating basic grades amongst a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part-time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London).

  • Editorial Intern

    Assisting our editorial department, this role will suit a student or graduate from a fashion journalism or similar degree who has a strong interest in writing. This role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills and an excellent command of the written word.

    Interns are responsible for administrative support, research and some writing as well as answering phones, looking after visitors and a wide range of 'running' tasks one would expect in any busy studio.

    Ideally, interns work full time for a period of 6 – 12 weeks, although part-time positions will be considered. SHOWstudio can cover lunch and travel costs (within central London). 

    This position requires an individual who is available to start as soon as possible!

  • Studio Intern

    Assisting the SHOWstudio team, this internship will suit a student or recent graduate who has a strong interest in production and is looking for a runner position within the fashion and creative industries. 

    The internship will provide excellent hands on experience working within an active studio and online publisher. Working closely with all members of the team the studio intern would experience live studio and broadcast production, event coordination, delivery of film series and fashion collection coverage as well as publishing timeline management.

    The internship is ideally suited to individuals with excellent organisational abilities, strong communication and administrative skills and ability to use common sense and logic to overcome obstacles and reach solutions. An interest in production is essential.
